It is necessary to be spiritually guided as it is necessary, this was why Christ promised the disciples the Holy spirit before he left them. John 14:15, Christ assured them of the holyspirit who was and is our guide till today, that teaches us and gives us a better understanding of God.
To be spiritually guided is also profitable to our physical life too, when God orders our steps we begin to do exploits.
