LIVING ABOVE SIN
Romans 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

"So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right things, but the the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a terrible predicament i'm in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God it has been done."
Paul talked about his struggle with sin in the whole of Romans 7 and then in the last verse he acknowledged the fact that christ has done it all and given us victory over the flesh. Hence our ability to live above sin lies not in doing works or taking various steps but in relying on the finished work of Christ and all that christ did on the cross.
The Cross
The cross is the only solution to the flesh. The flesh is what prevents us from living above sin. Nothing else can deal with the flesh except the cross.
We must acknowledge that we were with Christ on the crossand hence our old self (fhe flesh) was crucified with Him. Thus we are now dead to sin, we are now new creatures in christ.
2 Corithians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

N.B. We are not to crucify the flesh for we cannot, it has already been done hence it is left for us to acknowledge this and walk in the light.
Faith
Once we identify with the work of christ on tbe cross, we must now live a life of faith. You must believe completely in the finished work of christ and walk accordingly.
Whenever the flesh seems so alive and your life seems contrary fo this reality, never doubt, keep declaring a d confessing the finished work of Christ with faith in your heart and victory is certain.
The Holyspirit
We must constantly submit and yield to the Holyspirit whatever of the flesh that seem to trouble us so He can apply the cross to that area of our life.
We must learn to walk according to the spirit, following His leadings and fulfilling all His desires so we dont fall to the lusts of the flesh. Lef your desires, thoughts and will be that of the spirit.

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
It is the spirit that gives strength to live above sin. We must learn to depend on His strength and not ours. Reckon(consider) yourself as dead to sin, and that you now live by faith, through the power of the Holyspirit.
The Word Of God
To live above sin, we must be always full of God's word and put it into practice, the reason why those that are born of God cannot sin is because God's word which is the seed remains in them.

This is a great content.
The death of Christ has really brought us liberation and victory over all things that is capable of pulling us down in our Christian race.
The grace to live above sin has be released upon our lives and also the help we need which is the Holy Spirit that will be guiding us on how to live a sinness life has been given to us.
In addition, the word that we need to tackle and overcome sin has been given to us which is the word of God.
We need to keep working our salvation and keep meditating on God's word while walking in line with the commandment of God.
We are victorious.
I Christ we get our victory.
Sin and death no longer have dominion over us again except if we grant sin permission to toy with our lives.
God hates sin and when the love of God is burning in our heart, we will do all our best to please Him in total submission and obedience by living above sin
God is a spirit and expect us to walk in spirit. A carnal cannot person cannot please God in anyway. Thanks for highlighting some of the things we need to do to have a victorious Christian life. Thank you @vikebun

Living a victorious life is made possible through Christ and living above sin required constant meditating on God's word with faith in God and help of Holy Spirit and also mindful of the friends we keep and the congregation we maintain or find ourselves.
Christ has paid it all for us, it is believed that when He was crucified, our sins were crucified with Him and when Hr arose triumphantly, we were made whole, the blood He shed cleanses us and His crucifixion took our sins away..
Nice article. Sin is a big hinderance to many great things God has for us and his great plans towards our lives and as he children.
But one thing we must know is that everything we need to stay away from sin has been provided for us by God.
We need prayers, to stay close to God, we need his word in our day to day lives.
For with the word of God, living a life without sin will be much very easier for us.
Also we need the Holy Spirit touch guide us through in living a life without sin.
Always learn to read your Bible and live by the word, dont be only the hearer ,but also the doer of God's word.
That way we can definitely stay and live a life free from sin.

for us to live a christian life in charge, we must live above sin and submit ourselves to the authority of the holy spirit he will guide us and teach us at all times because he is a personality and the spirit of God sin seperates us from christ, the word of God is the message of God that cannot change it will open up our spirits and minds and give us a victorous believing life over the enemy
Well said, to live above sin, we need the cross, faith, Holy spirit and God's word, for these things are like guides and prerequisite to being sin free......
