God was manifested in flesh
God was manifested in flesh
God was manifested in flesh
In compliance with the program established by God for the redemption of the human race, God himself dwelt among men to die for all sinners and leave us a model as an example to follow. The Bible states that in 1 Timothy 3:16 that "God was manifested in the flesh." This is a strong statement that goes beyond human understanding.
Biblical versions Reina-Valera, with the exception of the RVA-2015, say in 1 Timothy 3:16 that "God was manifested in the flesh". But the other versions say that "Jesus Christ was manifested in flesh."
What is said in the previous paragraphs does not represent any contradiction because actually the second person of the Divine Trinity incarnated in the body of Jesus. In John 1: 1 we read: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Verb was God." Then he says in John 1:14 that "the Verb was made flesh, and dwelt among us."
What a surprising statement. God the Son, the Verb, was with us to teach us about the things that are said and done in heaven.
The incarnation of the verb is a mystery.
The formation of the human being is a mystery. But a greater mystery is the formation of the embryo, in which, from the womb of Mary was bodily all the fullness of the Deity Colossians 2: 9.
In fact the Word of God did not become flesh, but took on the body of Mary, through a supernatural intervention of the Holy Spirit, and under the cover of power of the Most High, activating an ovule of Maria. As it was a direct participation of God, the new being formed would be called Son of God. Luke 1:35; Matthew 1:20.
Consider what I say, and the Lord give to you understanding in everything. 2 Ti. 2: 7.
And indisputably, great is the mystery of piety:
God was manifested in flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen from the angels,
Preached to the Gentiles,
Believed in the world,
Received up in glory. 1 Ti. 3:16
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1: 1.
14 And that Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we saw his glory, glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth. John 1:14.
9For all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in him bodily. Colossians 2: 9.
20 And when he thought of this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said to him, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive Mary your wife, for what is begotten in her is the Holy Spirit.
21 And she will bear a son, and you will call his name JESUS, [a] because he will save his people from their sins.
22 All this happened to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet, when he said:
23 Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
And you will call his name Emmanuel, which translated is: God with us. Matthew 1: 20-23.
35 And the angel answered and said unto him, The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you; whereby also the Holy Being that will be born will be called Son of God. Luke 1:35. Isaiah 7:14.
