STEEMCHURCH: Dominating our acts, willpower
Hello my dear brothers of @steemchurch You should not end your own domain; I hope that each of you has learned to master your thoughts and emotions and is willing to learn to master your actions.
"Self-discipline begins with the mastery of our thoughts. If we do not control what we think, we can not control what we do. In short, self-discipline allows us to think before acting. " Napoleon Hill.
Our thoughts are the rails of action and that is why we should not allow ourselves to be guided by our thoughts because they would define our actions. Thoughts direct our emotions and feelings and we should not live from them; but we must live on every Word that comes from the mouth of God; live on each of their promises. Now God wants us to learn to master each of our acts.
The word Act Comes from the Latin "Actus" and means: Impulse, carry out, move forward, put an activity, act or behave. We know that living on our own without depending on our thoughts and feelings is a bit complicated; that is why I have emphasized the need to have "self-control as a fruit of the Holy Spirit". It is the only way that can be reflected in our actions. When our "I", that is, our will, is under the control of the Holy Spirit; that is when our way of being changes and we act according to His Word.
How we act is the reflection of how we think and feel; what we are "inside" is reflected "outside". In a "Batman Begins" movie he said: "It's not who you are inside; your acts are what define you. " Therefore no one who has good thoughts and has good feelings, will act in a violent way, without control, in a bad way. Everything begins in our mind, goes down to the heart and is projected with our mouth, hands and feet. The famous saying that says: "Your facts are so strong that they do not let me hear what you say."
All of us have been created by God with a mind to think about; with a heart to feel and a willingness to act. So we can say that we own our own will. It says in 1 Corinthians 7:37 "But he who is steadfast in his heart, without need, but is the master of his own will, and has resolved in his heart to keep his virgin daughter, does well."
The meaning of "Will", according to the dictionary:
1. Faculty of the human being to govern their actions, decide freely and opt for a certain type of behavior.
2. Ability to strive whatever is necessary to do one thing: will power; He does not have enough will to study a career, although he is intelligent.
3. Intention, gain or desire to do one thing: always wants his will to be done; I do not have the will to leave.
Etymologically, the word will comes from the Latin voluntas-atis, which means to want. But this concept involves many other factors such as the ability to make decisions, choosing one possibility among several, the tendency or desire for something that allows us the opportunity to discover, the determination that is specific and related to the ability to evaluate and clarify our goals , and action, as a definitive factor for the implementation of what we want.
When the will has acquired strength and vigor, it helps us to achieve our desires and ideals, constituting that necessary driving force that pushes us to walk forward despite the difficulties, being its two most important ingredients as indicated by the psychiatrist Enrique Rojas, the motivation and the illusion.
Albert Einstein said: "There is a driving force more powerful than steam, electricity and atomic energy: the will".
Robert Jones once said: "Christian philosophy is a philosophy of self-denial, self-control, and self-control."
Unfortunately, we live in a humanist society, where the "SELFISHED SELF" predominates; where the devil governs and incites people to live according to their wishes; to have what they want and to "act" as they prefer. He tells them: "Do not let anyone tell you what you have to do," "It's your life, after all, so you have the right to live it as you please."
We all have a will, a "power", to do good or to do wrong. We can call it Willpower. What do we do when exercising ours? What do I do with this "power" that the Creator has imparted to me?
Willpower is that human capacity to exert self-control and make the necessary effort to do one thing. Basically it is the faculty that we have the people to do or not something. Willpower is totally personal and non-transferable, that is, the decision to grow as a person, to surpass yourself and to go beyond your own limits is totally personal and non-transferable. For example, no matter how much a person insists on another in quitting, if they do not want to achieve this goal because of an intrinsic motivation, then the beginning of the change is impossible.
Willpower is a capacity that we can learn and develop. It's like a muscle, you can train. Just as physical and mental preparation is essential for athletes, it is also a fundamental task for us to prepare ourselves to achieve our goals.
Our will we have to dominate it, tame it and subject it to discipline. Control their starts, excesses, claudications, outbursts, follies. Because if not, the human will, loose, imperious and selfish, is capable of harming or destroying, already partially, already completely, marriages, homes, friendships, churches, and even entire populations or nations but, can we? I believe that by making an effort we can partly dominate it, but to do good and to act correctly, we need daily the help of the Holy Spirit of God. I love to remember that the term Self-Control and Temperance means strength; The Lord will give us his strength to get ahead. How?
Asking the Lord to do his will and not ours. Jesus taught us well about what it was to put God's will before his. The Bible says in Luke 22:42 "Father, if you will, this cup passes from me, but not my will be done, but yours." We must take the same determination as Jesus regarding your own will. sovereignty over his personal will.
Jesus also declared in John 4:34. "My food is to do the will of the one who sent me, and to finish his work"
In John 5:30. "I do not seek my will, but the will of the one who sent me, the Father's."
Matthew 12:50. "For whosoever doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother."
John, the apostle of love, wrote in 1 John 2:17: "... he who does the will of God abides forever."
So, if you want to fulfill the purpose for which you were born; Make your "own will" blend perfectly with "the will of God." This is achieved by correctly learning the gospel of Christ and obeying it from the heart. If our mind aligns with God, so also our feelings; we are sure that our actions will guide us to complete victory.

"Willpower is the internal impulse that leads us to overcome obstacles and achieve our goals."
Willpower we acquire without realizing it and it is our job to maintain and develop it. We acquire it because, as children we learn to take our first steps ... and we fall, there is an inner force, which is what drives us to get up.
The main pillars to develop willpower refer to motivation, self-esteem, learning to tolerate frustration and how we react to change, success and failure.
We all have willpower; nobody can say that he does not have it; in some area of our life, but we have it, nobody is completely lacking in will power.

Thank you for sharing this message Xioran, undoubtedly the discipline is one of the tools to achieve control of your actions, without leaving aside the guidance of the Holy Spirit, which gave us not a spirit of cowardice but of self-control.
How we exert how will-power is solely up to us, we have been given the abiility to choose.
"Self-discipline begins with the mastery of our thoughts. If we do not control what we think, we can not control what we do. In short, self-discipline allows us to think before acting. " Napoleon Hill.
For all our actions have been premeditated, and it comes to mind before the act, it is expected that for us to be able to transform our generation and environment ,we myst first be the master of our taught and be perfext with it befor there xould be any significant change anywhere, for if we xan then i how do we expwct to do the transformation.

Let us occupy till he comes and make sure we fulfil his glory. He has promised us and he will surely be faithful
Its OK that when you see things happening around you you should always adapt on it .
You should not allow the big it heavy condition which is around you to ivrcome you always .
With christ we can do all things.
Be always determine to do that thing which you think is impossible to be done because he who us with the living God is with the majority .
Some times we feel that big things are made for those who are big physically but your life should always be directed towards making a difference from eht people think you are.
I really like this :
Those who don't think before acting, agree after acting.

Wonderful post, if we look at the word of God instead of looking at the world or acting on impulse, the world will be a better place, and blessings will be an unending spring in our lives because then, we will be in line with the will of God
And this statement is powerful :
Thanks
