Felipe and the Ethiopian (Acts 8: 26-39)

An angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying: Get up and go south, on the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza, which is desert.
Then he got up and went. And it happened that an Ethiopian, eunuch, Candace's official queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all his treasures, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, he returned sitting in his car, and reading the prophet Isaiah.
And the Spirit said to Philip: Come and join that car.
When Philip came, he heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said: But do you understand what you read?
He said: And how can I, if someone does not teach me? And he begged Philip to come up and sit with him.
The passage of Scripture that I read was this:
As a sheep to death he was taken; And like a mute lamb before him that shews it, so he did not open his mouth.
In his humiliation, justice was not done; But his generation, who will tell it? Because his life was taken from the earth.
Responding to the eunuch, he said to Philip, "Please tell me: from whom does the prophet say this? of yourself or someone else?
Then Philip, opening his mouth, and beginning from this scripture, announced to him the gospel of Jesus.
And going down the road, they came to a certain water, and the eunuch said: Here is water; What prevents me from being baptized?
Felipe said: If you believe with all your heart, you can do it. And answering, he said: I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
And he ordered the car to stop; and they both went down to the water, Philip and the eunuch, and baptized him.
When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip; and the eunuch did not see him any more, and went on his way with joy.
It seems very ideal to share this story because I think that as well as Philip God gave him a purpose that day and without a doubt he stood up and obeyed the Lord, so he could change the life of the Ethiopian, bringing him the truth and eternal life that our Lord Jesus Christ offers us, through the truth of his acts of love and mercy. The Ethiopian already had the impulse to seek the truth, to know Christ, to find God, only missing who gave him the final push to really give the final conviction. I share this story because of this very special verse, it was my motivation to be baptized, because I remember some months of having accepted Jesus as my savior, still hesitated to be baptized by the Christian church, but I remember one day the pastor of the church told us about that to my friend @Marcelo182 and to me, and at that moment, a normal and ordinary day decided to baptize us, just like the Ethiopian; the pastor filled a water basin and there we were submerged and baptized. The most important thing to consider is that God loves us and therefore he calls us all to find him and once we have achieved that, we put an end to the biggest dispute a man can have and it is the spiritual one, because in God we find peace, wisdom and a lot of love.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.
