The value of a currency is indeed tied to its universal acceptability as a token of value!
Unfortunately, Steem, outside the steemit block chain has not attain this status! But fortunately, but not satisfactorily, Steem is convertible to other Cryptos and dollars which is acceptable universally.
True. We are not widely known and I hope that changes.
