steemd.apasia.tech - Syncing 8th [UPDATE: 13.8] million block at the moment
I'm back with hands fully focused to Steem!!!
Many of you noticed that Steem is look-like a collapsing, but it's not. Yeah, it's been true...
STEEM RPC NODES WERE DOWN
But it's normal in any development that here and there we are being introduced to a new bug. That means nothing else but that someone is still doing development and improvements on a blockchain. After 2 hours, everything was polished and back up, and nothing essential from Steem Blockchain was corrupted or lost. Mostly new app owners on top of the steem blockchain who are in most of the cases same as steemdice at github (steembet.asia as fork) connecting to only one RPC node where in case of failure they were off and without any clue why its down...
Since there is none node available in Thailand, our small Steem Community of locals here previously introduced through some of my posts, along with our company @apasia.tech decided to extend the life of Steem Blockchain and replicate it at our own costs, without running a witness node for now.
Currently i'm syncing 8th million block as p2p node running through Docker. As my own experiment, being Linux network/hosting admin and a true hater of Ubuntu/Debian as distro (im more like a Vanilla Linux guy), i've setup a VPS with following configuration:
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
4 CPU
8GB minimum Dedicated RAM
8GB Swap
2x160GB SSD Raid Mirror
/dev/shm = 100 GB
I will provide full documentation for each node that i setup, from scratch with optimizations required to run Steem Blockchain unless you have 128GB RAM real dedicated machine, since there is
NO PROPER DOCUMENTATION AVAILABLE
that is worth looking, or define everything what is fairly but poorly mixed between few quality posts in past 1 year, with no recent documentation than 3 months (which is documentation 2 forks behind)
Cheers,
Until next 24 hrs update.

@randowhale - there is no upvote from you...
All set. Sorry about that.
@randowhale - All good :) I'm just collecting all available whales (both paid and random ones who just give support) for next 1 week :) Expect rain of orders from my account :D Some proper steem documentation and new rpc node coming along :)
Most painful time during sync - 12.000.000 to 13.500.000 blocks!
Painful. But also painfully wrong config.ini setup with a lot of fucked up nodes.
So newbie mistake, but a lot of things are going on. lets hope for the best :D
