I hope that my previous lesson was useful and you were revising the words and letters from it every day for a few minutes, 5min would be enough actually 🤗. Today, we will learn next portion of Spanish 👩🏻‍💻📚🏜.

First , we need to revise previous lesson and learn a little bit more:

1️⃣Let's revise some Spanish alphabet:
Aa (ah) Bb (beh) Cc (seh) Dd (deh) Ee (eh) Ff (eh-feh) Gg (Heh)

2️⃣Let's learn some sounds:

The vowel A (ah):
The easiest way to remember how to pronounce the letter a in Spanish is to sing the chorus, don't you? Fa la la la la, la la, la la. We write this sound as ah in the pronunciation brackets.

In Spanish you always say the vowels one way, and one way only.

The consonant letter C (seh):

• The letter c in front of the vowels a (ah), o (oh), u (oo), sounds like English k. We use the letter k in the pronunciation brackets to signal this sound.
• When the letter c is in front of vowels e (eh), i (ee), it sounds like the English s. In pronunciation brackets, we signal this sound as s.

In much Spain - primarily the north and central parts - the letter c is pronounced like the th in thanks when placed before the vowels e and i.

3️⃣Following are some sample words to practice and learn:

Caracas (kah-rah-kas)	a city in Venezuela
el mapa, un mapa (MAH-pah)	a map
Guadalajara (gooah-dah-lah-Hah-rah)	a city in Mexico
✓ For letter C c (seh) - as k:
acabar (ah-kah-BVAR)	(verb) to finish
el café, un café (kah-FEH)	coffee
una casa, la casa (KAH-sah)	house
un ocaso, el ocaso (oh-KAH-soh)	sunset
✓ For letter C c (seh) - as s:
un acero, el acero (ah-SEH-roh)	steel
cero (SEH-roh)	zero
un cine, el cine (SEE-neh)	cinema

4️⃣Let's revise some words and learn a few sentences:

English	Spanish	Example / comment
he	él;
she	ella;
you	tú	(informal, personal pronoun)
my husband	mi esposo
good	buen
to eat	comer	✏️ she eats = ella come;
to drink	beber	✏️ she drinks = ella bebe
an apple	una mazana
the cheese	el queso	✏️ all the cheese = todo el queso

él come.	He eats.	(Он ест)
Ella come la manzana.	She eats the apple.	(Она есть яблоко)
Ella come una manzana.	She eats an apple.	(Она есть яблоко)
él es un niño.	He is a boy.	(Он мальчик)

Sample sentence from the dictionary:

Spanish	English
Ella es más alta que tú.	She is taller than you.
Ella es muy estudiosa.	She is very studious.
Te comiste todo el queso.	You ate all the cheese.
él es bastante simpático.	He is too nice.
A comer un trozo y a beber un vaso de leche.	To eat a portion and drink a glass of milk.

✅ 7 Spanish letters are revised and 3 sounds are learned.
✅ 16 Spanish words are learned.
✅ 14 Spanish sentences learned.
