How Do I Recognize an Important Idea?
It comes like a flash.
The idea itself arrives explosively.
It gives me a jolt.
It makes me want to celebrate.
For a moment, it simply makes me happy.
I do not decide that an idea is important.
I feel it.
Let's hope the feeling of happiness is long enough to overshadow the frustration of not making it operate.
I hope this translation from Italian captures what I’m trying to say.
It’s not the fear of failure.
It’s the responsibility of remaining faithful to the intuition that gives birth to the idea.
Perhaps this is the journey that transforms a thinker into an artist.
If it were that simple…
