Homemade Crispy Potato Cutlets

Today I made crispy potato cutlets at home. They were crunchy from outside and soft from inside. I boiled the potatoes first then added vegetables and spices. After mixing everything I shaped them coated them with egg and fried them. It was a simple and tasty snack for my family.

Step 1 Making the Potato Mixture
First I boiled the potatoes until soft. Then I peeled and mashed them very well. After that I added carrot green peas green chili fresh coriander salt red chili powder and black pepper. Then I mixed everything well until the mixture became smooth and soft.

Step 2 Shaping the Cutlets
After preparing the mixture I took small portions and made round flat shapes with my hands. I prepared all cutlets in the same way.

Step 3 Coating with Egg
Then I beat one egg in a bowl. I dipped each cutlet into the egg so it could get a good coating. This helps the cutlets become crispy after frying.
Step 4 Frying the Cutlets
I heated oil in a pan. When the oil became hot I placed the cutlets in the pan and fried them on medium heat. I turned them carefully until both sides became golden brown.

Final Result
My crispy potato cutlets were ready. They looked golden and crunchy. My family enjoyed eating them with ketchup and tea.

Cooking Tip
If your cutlets are breaking or the mixture is not binding well you can add two spoons of corn flour in the mixture. This will help the cutlets hold their shape and fry perfectly. This was today cooking tip.
