My Road To Steemfest # 2 | Time to sell.. What??

About 4 days ago I wrote my first Road to Steemfest post

I planned on doing the updates at least once a week, but like @misslasvegas mentioned in her road to Steemfest post, writing it down helps.. It helps me organize the plans I'm making and seeing the progress of the process. Some may not be very busy with the planning yet, as it's still a bit far away, but for me it's really best to start sooner rather than later. So what have I done?

1 STEEM or SBD a day into savings

You may think, what the heck is 1 Steem going to add to fund your way to Steemfest? Well, there is a little over 23 weeks left at this moment of writing, 23 x 7 days is 161 days. If I put at least 1 Steem or SBD into my savings for 161 days it's worth it. No, it's not going to pay for my ticket (at least not when I stick to the 1 STEEM/SBD a day) but it will help. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I'm trying to fund my way there through micro-fundings. I've thought of several ways, which will make sure I have back up plans when something doesn't work out as planned, but also will keep me busy and not bored while funding the money.

I saw an opportunity to sell WLS directly for USD via Paypal

As I've been writing on Whaleshares from the day they launched last year, my stake is much higher compared to my stake on Steemit. I've been powering down from the moment that was possible, not because I don't want my account to grow, but because I want the best of both worlds, meaning grow my account while also taking some out for real life purposes. As some of you may know, the past year we had some financial stress because of some mistakes employer made (meaning paying too late or too little without correcting that on time), so having earnings from Steemit and Whaleshares were very helpful to get us to the next paycheck. Although it was very stressful sometimes, I can say that the previous month we have paid off a nice sum to our credit card bill, which instantly gave me some air to breathe. I don't like that card to be maxed, but that's what happened, so the only thing I can do about it, is pay as much as we can miss every month. So my earnings from the blockchain help me reduce interest on our credit card debt, because the more I pay them monthly, the less it costs me. So until that is all in order, I really prefer cashing out my earnings as the only thing that costs me, are some fees. Which brings me to the next thing, someone asked to buy WLS for USD on Paypal directly. I had 2 weeks of powerdown to sell, and decided this was smart to do. Not only did it save me the fees, but it also saved the buyer fees, plus I now also have a little bit of money on my Paypal account. I like to see funds spread on different accounts, because with Paypal I can also pay for things I might need for my trip.

Trying to offer some of my artworks for sale

Although I don't really know how to do that yet, one of my goals is to see if I can sell some of my artworks. I need to find out the best way to do that here, as for some reason I haven't discovered the best way to try and sell stuff here. When I look at facebook groups, prices are about the same as things you buy new in the store. That's exactly what some people told us when we arrived as well, second hand market sucks here. But maybe I have a shot, as it's art, and worth what the buyer finds it worth of course. Every bit helps right?

I expect that the costs to send an artwork aren't too high, but if you let me know where you live, I can look that up. Just in case there is any interest, I will make a post about that topic another day to show which ones I would like to sell..Payments for these will be accepted via Paypal or cryptocurrencies like Steem/SBD/BTS/EOS/LTC etc...

Selling Steemmonster cards

I love the rental market, so I'm now selling quite a few cards of my collection below market prices. Why? I love Steemmonsters, but I won't have the time to keep up making it worth my time soon anyway, my project is really important for me, and I will succeed with that.. That means I need to part with a big part of my collection, otherwise I might keep playing :) lol.

Hopefully, in the next update I'm making progress again to fund my road to Steemfest...
