oh man, where do i start with the WHY, ok let’s go with a bunch of reasons why you should consider us for the two tickets to go to steemfest 2. even thou things have started to pick up in recent days getting the funds together for this will be a push. we might be able to afford the hotel and a flight but even covering two tickets all together will be tight. also, for the last 8 months we have been living apart separated by an ocean as we have been trying to find ways to make it back to each other.

if you are reading this, read it all, are in a couple and understand the love that two people can share together please consider resteeming or upvoting our post for exposure. we really want to spend time with the steemfest 2 group and believe we have a lot to offer this global community.

i’ve JUST got a new client so money is coming back in again and @dayleeo has been crushing it over there. i’ve had issues here in where she could stay and sustain ourselves and slowly as the months have gone by we have seen the steemfest dream fall away. in the last few days we have been making positivity moves to make it happen but you don’t understand how much this would be the icing on the cake to manifest something like this.

reason one — i heard about steemfest one week before it happened, i’d only just been on the platform

i was gutted, it would have been really easy for me to jump on a plane at birmingham airport and get to amsterdam, i literally did not have the resources or the funds to hand to make it happen, i watched all the blogs coming out, downloaded all the videos shot of the event and was super positive about steemit as a platform even thou it was early days. remember the first time when you got on steem and was excited about a platform that paid you to blog, it was kind of revolutionary when i first got started here.

reason three - so many faces to meet

as a tired and tested and battle damaged conference goer, lots of south by southwest austin events and everything in between i love nothing more than hanging out with people. i love the energy and the conversations, feeling full of positivity of having a conversation or moment just ‘click’ i feel it’s the very foundation and cornerstone to a community especially one that is mostly done online. that offline time is so important.

trust me, eight months apart, long distance is hard. sure, dayle is gonna have enough funds to get here from the states but the idea of us getting to steemfest on top of that is extra difficult in what four weeks, it would literally be down to the wire and even then i’m not sure if we would have anything in reservers for emergencies. to spend a week away with my other half after this long somewhere warm, great company, fab food would be just the highlight of 2017 so far because really i’ve not had many highlights from it yet, to get to meet some of the spirits at the event. priceless.

i won’t be coming to steemfest empty handed. as someone that has spent the last few years on a basic income and poverty line existence i’ve seen first hand what steemit could be for people with super low incomes, i’ve got three application concepts that i want to find the right coders to work with that match my ethics and values. i’d like to get these done in sketch before i get there and post about it before then. if i know the steemfest trip is sorted then i can spend all my time fleshing that idea out.

i’ve been trying to get the time together to post this, the blog post is done, i’ve got 32 mini little courses planned and i want them all recorded in the seven days that the blog post is up, i’ve targeted 8 niche areas to ‘amplify’ too bring in content creators to the platform. i’ll be putting the little courses on skillshare, udemy, youtube, dtube and viewly. i’ve created a dedicated accounts @teamvideo for all decentralised things. i’m making 10 accounts at a time (60 steem) from my own pocket so that people i outreach too will be ready to go and can watch some of the course material (aimed at content creators like myself) to engage quickly with the platform. i remember how i was spinning my wheels at the start. this will help them.
