How the growth of gamers would boost Steem's popularity & new thumbnails for CS:GO and Paladins

If you're a follower, you've probably noticed the appearance of the Steem Gaming Community (SteemGC or SGC). We are a group of gamers and players who seek to gather all the people who are interested in casual as well as competitive gaming. SteemGC has been growing in an adequate pace lately and we expect much more as time goes on.

Though in my humble opinion, the Steem Gaming Community or just basically the gaming side of Steem will be able to accomplish much more than expected. Let me explain my train of thought.

The Steem Model

For starters, Steem is a great model to attract not only bloggers, but anyone else who has something to talk about, gamers included. It's a platform where you have a higher chance to get noticed, especially when there's so many campaigns going on which help you on your journey.

Since the introduction of DTube and DLive, this gives even more incentive for gamers to join this platform. I know for sure that these platforms will replace Youtube or Twitch. Well, at least give them some fine competition.

But the main reason why gamers will surely be interested in joining SteemGC or Steemit itself is that they will get paid to do that. Of course, low quality content has a tendency of being ignored, but everyone has an equal chance from the beginning to make something of their hobby - playing games.

Marketing outside of Steemit

SteemGC seeks not only to gather all of Steemit's gamers, but also those who are out of Steemit's borders. I think it would simply require a seed to be planted in the right place at the right time and there would be an influx of gamers appearing on Steemit, which in turn would generate so many new faces.

SteemGC will surely be taking advantage of this. Not only will we do whatever we can to reach out to the gamer masses outside of Steemit to attain new members for our group, but they will instantly be tempted to join Steemit itself - because why not?

Like @strawhat said, there's almost no point in playing games without streaming them on DLive nowadays - not only can you generate more Steem and SBD, you can also gain a following and play with fellow Steemians.

SteemGC will be reaching out to known youtube, twitch and other platform gamers in order to advertise the community and Steemit itself. Once gamers see the true potential of Steemit and understand the low amount of hassle to actually start posting, streaming or uploading videos, they will surely jump onboard.

SteemGC will curate gamers

Right now we are searching for curators who would be interested in curating gaming content. For starters, we will be curating those who post, stream and upload videos under the Steem Gaming Community flag. This will create even more incentive for users to share their gaming content and be an active part of the community.

Right now we are using the utilities we currently have, but the growth has been noticeable and the future potential is bigger than ever.

palladins is very good

Considering that this is how YouTube grew - first humorous content and then games, you have the right idea.

I think gaming content is the next step :)

Already contributing gaming content, will chuck the tag in my next post to help support the growth of this niche we're carving out. :)

Thanks for your contribution!

yes dear @cheaky

@cheaky, I have actually been meaning to ask you for a logo specific to some overwatch which I could banner on my stream and promote @steemgc altogether. For 2 weeks now, I have been streaming on Monday/Tuesday nights. And I would love to use and promote SteemGC along with that amazing fox of yours.

And maybe even for Hearthstone? Since I have been meaning to stream games w/e it is I play on those free nights I have. :)

Hey! Glad you want to represent SteemGC! I will make specific logos for every game soon! Will make a post about it.

I am definitely looking forward to it. Im sure this community will be the bomb soon!

@cheaky i'll use the tag too in my next video to help grow the tag naturally. i hope more people see this community and will join for gaming related content :D
