#STEEMGIGS: (TIL(Today I Learned)) — Not to procrastinate

in #steemgigs7 years ago

I Just found out about this and I would like to share my experience with you.

So a family friend had been sick for some months and he had been in and out of the hospital. He was diabetic and the complications were much. He could no longer move around and was in so much pain. Most of the times I went to see him at the hospital and saw him in so much pain, I could not bear it. So I started staying away but I kept praying for him. I kept moving the days I planned to visit to the next and then the day after. Sure I was really busy with school, I had classes, tests to write and I used those as excuses not to go. It was not that I didn't care about him but it was just the feeling of seeing a loved one in so much pain and not being able to do anything about it. Today, I received a call with the news that he's no more. I feel devastated and I wish I could turn back the hands of time and spend more time with him. I was not there with him even in his last moments. Procrastination is really bad. It feels terrible not being there for someone when they really need you.
