I would call hackers tab a doorway to open sourced projects. A nice way to see what creative people are upto and get inspired!!!
Plus you can always find an open source project that is worth utilizing.

Hacker Tab, a really interesting name. However, it turns out the function is also very interesting, especially for developers, people who want to learn programming, or people who are thirsty for knowledge.
By always knowing, and also following what is trending on GItHub, at least we can do research and not miss the most important things.
I don't use much Chrome extension, but I must use this one. It seems to be a necessary function for programmers. They're more important than anything else to keep up with the technology trends. This extension will help a lot. I really like it. Thank you for sharing a nice item.

I really don't like additional tabs icons shown any opened window as it seems like distraction. However, I'd like to check this tool just to kill my curiosity. :) Might seems odd but it's what it is. :D It could be an interesting tool who does not get distracted easily.
Google plug-ins are applications that make our life easier. Especially if we want to learn about open source projects and if we want to receive notifications, I can say that it is a great reminder add-on. Currently, work continues for notifications about hacker news and product hunt sites.

USEFUL HUNT
Seems very interesting tool. If you are some tech guy and want to do something out of the box then in the world of internet you have lot more and you never know what you can get from there. Although we have various superb ideas and projects which can be added in extension for fun but this particular tool is good. I love it. Thanks for sharing a quality stuff.

This is such an awesome feature. New tab screens often come with more entertainment or social media related extensions than make you consume content passively than get you involved in something productive to change the world. The worst offender is news sites. I hate news, current events and politics.
People tend to get involved more with things that they are more familiar with. I think exposing people to GitHub more is going to nudge them into getting into more projects. Even my Hunt for the day was about automated GitHub/GitLab code reviewing 😀
