The Desino seat construction provides movement that is modelled on the natural gait, thus activating the spine and relieving the strain on the back. This positive effect is transferred to the entire back, the muscles and the lymphatic system are mobilized. The seat and its movement can be adjusted individually.
The wheelchairs radius and medius have an additional smooth-running lever drive. Due to the integrated gear shift, it is also possible to drive longer distances without exertion. Further details can be found on the manufacturer's website.

Lately I have seen a wheelchair boom in SH- Some I have eliminated because they are very generic or basic. However this today that you present us with your system of movement with levering seems to me very suitable, people in this disability need execution. They need to fend for themselves, what better than a wheelchair that adapts to your movements and encourages you to move.

Thank you for your extensive comment. My mother is handicapped because of her age, so I often look for these articles. There will be many more products for older people in the future. I belong to the Babyboom generation and they will soon be the most affluent group with high age. This group will not be looking for smartphones, but wheelchairs or a device that attracts the support stockings.

It is a nothing pleasant condition, not only for the people who live it in their own flesh, but also for the people of the environment. My father-in-law, lived his last years in a wheelchair and finally in a bed. That was sad to see the transition and deterioration of their health. But we cheer, that with love and care everything works better. I wish your mother great health and for you too. Devices that improve the quality of life, are really welcome and appreciated...!

I love when designers care about creating something that provides comfort to disabled people improving lives, when a person is most of the time in a chair it eventually produces pain in muscles, this design could relief pain back, great hunt!

Apart from mobility this wheelchair will provide nice cardio exercise to disable peoples which help them to live a healthy life, it looks great for roads or sidewalks but users might find it difficult to move on pavement or off road cause the rougher the terrain the greater the force required to move it. The product is innovative though.
On rough terrain, the wheelchair can of course be moved using the classic handrim propulsion drive. The lever drive is an additional option.
This is great idea that is, a person that are on a wheelchair can move places they want using both of their hands or the other person will push it from the back. It can also helpful for everyday exercises for people who wants exercise that are on a wheelchair.
