VirtaMed ArthroS is a tool that enables surgeons (trainees) to practice surgical operations in real life, using realistic 3D rubber models. This would give them the opportunity to make mistakes, learn and attain a high level of proficiency.

This is hugely better tan what I was expecting. I was initially expecting a silly VR app to play around.. But VirtaMed ArthroS is much more and there is a lot that can be gained from using it. It can be a great learning opportunity and it could even end up being great way to do an aptitude test for surgeons.
The creators have taken part in many conferences and have been awarded as a one of top 15 employer in Switzerland. That shows a lot of promise IMHO.
Physical Interaction from medical students is a must. ESP for those who wants to be a Surgeon. I think we should not just rely on ARs and VRs, (for some). Real simulation and interaction is a better way to learn how to interact with real person and REAL FLESH
It looks so helpful VR training for arthroscopy especially for knee and shoulder i really like it coz it has a standardized curriculum which includes essential skills, diagnostic cases and full procedures pretty cool on top of that it provides large variety of training cases with quite high fidelity graphics all in all it provide complex training's without any risks for live patients. Practice makes the men perfect. Unfortunately there are no much option available in the past as it is impossible to handle surgery for just practice. Thanks to the technology by developing VirtaMed ArthroS. It will definitely help to get good practice for medical students to become expert in surgery. This is more than just VR. Doctors can practice on rubber model seeing them on 3d. This is surely a great innovation and will add a great value on medical sector.
