Researchers at the Eindhoven University of Technology have developed a smart arm bracelet called Nightwatch. This comfortable bracelet detects signs of severe seizures and contacts care staff.
It is capable of accurately measuring heart rate and motion of its carrier throughout the night while a person lying in on bed to sense for an unusually high heart or rhythmic jolting characteristic of a seizure.
The device offers high level of accuracy and has been tested for several years at the epilepsy institutes Sein and Kempenhaege.
Above all, this device was tested and found to be safe according to the European Standard for Medical Devices.

I have seen people with epilepsy convulsing in my presence and it was not a pleasant sight. It is good that we have technologies trying to help them and provide data that could be used to prevent such seizure. This is a good hunt

Quite a smart device that helps persons with epilepsy notify others when they have a crises. This was something that those affect of didn't know how to proceed with, so it is great to have it here.
