Falcon 9 rocket was designed, to revolutionize the space transportation, by introducing concept of reusable rocket, decreasing significantly transportation cost to the orbit, as well as to International Space Station.
Falcon 9 technical details:

• Height: 70 m
• Diameter: 3,7 m
• Mass: 549,054 kg
• Payload to Low Earth Orbit: 22,800 kg
• Payload to Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit: 8,300 kg
• Payload to Mars: 4,020 kg

Falcon 9 delivers payload using Dragon spacecraft or inside a composite fairing, hence it can transport both crew and cargo to space. In 2012, Falcon 9 delivered Dragon spacecraft to ISS, making SpaceX first commercial company which visited ISS.
The most spectacular thing is a system for recovery of reusable parts, which consist e.g. drone ship as landing platform for the rocket parts. You can check the compliation of landings here:
