Using sounds in your software can use space, time and other problems. For the principals. Timers, interruptions, etc. are necessary. that are not so easy for beginners
in some examples Arduino contains so many libraries and supports so many shields so that a beginner can have an excellent functional project, attractive in a matter of days.
at this time there were only a few rare audio modules that needed an external amplifier to produce sounds. But a shield was missing to produce sounds easily without the need to introduce some external
