I've come across such boxes earlier too. But doesn't many tablets perform as good as this if not better? Many tablets & notebooks too come with HDMI output ports.

Personally, given a choice, I'd opt for a stand alone system even if I had to carry a little extra weight for it. I won't like to ask someone for using their monitor for my portable PC. But may be, others can find it useful to them
