An Indian startup has launched a simple way to dispose off kitchen waste and recycle it by converting it as compost in kitchen cabinet itself.
It's called Smartbin Air
By adding a cover of Bio Bloom Air, it accelerates composting without any stinking smell or breeding of insects and flies.
This is a wonderful container that can replace every kitchen dustbin as it can compost all dry kitchen food waste including veg and non-veg waste.

Finally an amazing product from India. However, we will need to order 2 bins, because once one bin fills, it has to be kept aside for 10 days, and we will need to use the second bin during that time. Price is not bad, at ₹2,699.00 inc. GST ( a little discount there). The only shortcomings is their promise on reviews. Though they are saying thousands of happy customers, could not see any great reviews. I will still buy 2 bins and experiment.
Well, I can second their claim of thousands of happy customers. Actually, the figure include their first product "Smartbin" which is in market for over 5 years now. It's still available for sale and is a tad cheaper than Smartbin Air. But I'd suggest you to go for Smartbin Air if you are looking for a completely hassle-free experience. And if cost is the factor, then you can also go for Daily Dump's Khambha which is made up of clay pots.
If you don't want to buy 2 bins, you can transfer the content to a sealed bag after the bin is full. However many people order 3-4 bins too for the sake of convenience.

It seems a great concept that can transform organic waste into compost. Just adding of bio bloom air. As we know that transform an organic waste into compost will take a long time more than 6 weeks. Can I know how long it takes for this smart bin to convert organic waste into compost?
I ever hunted about the product for converting waste into compost and it takes the fastest time of 6 weeks for the first box and then the second box after fully loaded.
On an average the whole cycle takes approx 4 to 6 weeks depending on the season.
Nice as it is common for me and my family to have plenty of food scraps. We have the huge out door composter and have found that there just isn't one big enough for us inside but this is a great idea!

Very true. Most people don't even think of it but if they are made aware of some option they do like to choose a better and more sensible option.
Today I was talking to a restaurateur who is constructing a vegan restaurant and I asked him to include a bio-gas plant for its kitchen waste in its building. He immediately liked the idea and was keen to discuss this with his partner. Now it's decided that they are going for a bio-gas plant for disposing their kitchen waste.
We need this invention in Montreal (Canada). Composting is mandatory in my neighborhood but it's collected only once a week in a simple plastic container. Winter is easy to maintain but in the summer at 30 degrees it becomes more difficult with odors and insects. I want one :-)... Great hunt @xyzashu.
Advantages:-

I checked the website as you recommended and it is really useful for kitchens. Bad smell of food waste annoys and disturbs me so much, i m sure everybody feels the same. Smart-bin air also includes veg and non-veg. Thanks for sharing, perfect hunt @xyzashu
