Censored on steemit.chat and flagged here.
Where is the freedom of speech? Where is the censorship resistance now?
Only had to mention i'm being censored and she just banned me.
and then claims in another channel that she HAD to mute me. I have no time right now but later we will continue this.
Reposting a comment I made in another one of your threads:
It is a bad idea to post torrents of pirated materials here. The site will be at risk of receiving DMCA takedown notices, and the potential for further action. I happen to disagree with it very strongly, but the US government takes this matter very seriously. I don't want to see the site shut down due to this sort of activity.
Steemit says that:

Not sure if this one fits but : 22. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STEEMIT OR THE STEEMIT PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS OR LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH, THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, STEEMIT OR THE STEEMIT CONTENT. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF STEEMIT OR THE STEEMIT PARTIES, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, WHETHER ACTIVE, PASSIVE OR IMPUTED), PRODUCT LIABILITY, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHER THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO: (A) THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE STEEMIT OR THE STEEMIT CONTENT; OR (B) THESE TERMS EXCEED ANY COMPENSATION YOU PAY, IF ANY, TO STEEMIT FOR ACCESS TO OR USE OF STEEMIT.
Other sites have had similar notices on their pages, but that doesn't do anything to prevent the government from going after copyright violations.
Sorry to hear about your friend's feelings.
The fact is, STEEM is blockchain based. They cannot stop someone from posting illegal content onto the blockchain. They can only flag it.
What'd be better is if they just hid the "torrents" tag from public, and allowed others to set up steemit clones (it's easy) where they're not afraid of the liability.
Freedom of speech does not mean doing harm to others. What might be legal in one country is not legal in another. Just by viewing pirated movies people in certain countries can be held liable. Although I am against unfair copyrights laws, there is a level of copyrights I do feel comfortable with. People can watch a pirated movie you post not knowing they might be hit with a copyright notice from their ISP or even a fine and court, what will your freedom of speech do for them then? For now all there is available to us for free is public domain material so we should treasure that and keep it out of copyrights, but in the process we should at least respect the rights of others so they in turn respect ours.
I don't see any reason for this post to be flagged.
Piracy material here in Steemit.com is problematic at the moment. Copyright mafia can be really pain in the ass and I don't think it's a good idea to make them to attack Steemit dev team.
I'm a pirate myself and I'd really like to see some kind of blockchain that publishes torrents/magnets. But probably it should be separate blockchain that works like Steem and rewards those who publish high quality material.
Or if Steem blockchain is used to it, might be best to launch a totally separate website or stand-alone app and hide all that material from Steemit.com.
hey man dont provoke the ash she will destroy lol. contact her and maybe ask her nicely why she did it
