SLC27-W2 // Ambala Café Sargodha – Traditional Desi Breakfast Delight
This week, I decided to participate in the contest about local breakfast points, and I thought, why not share one of my favorite places with everyone? There’s a café near my university that I visit often with my friends after classes, and its breakfast is always so delicious. So today, I’m going to share my experience and review of this lovely place called Ambala Café.
Whenever we feel like having a good breakfast together, we make a little plan and go there. This time, I thought it would be a great idea to visit it again and participate in the contest by sharing my review with you all. After our university class, my friends and I went straight to Ambala Café , which is located right on the main road near Mr. Banks and not far from the University of Sargodha.
The location is very easy to find, and it’s always full of people since it’s one of the most famous breakfast spots in the area. The café opens at 7:00 a.m., and their breakfast menu starts right after opening.
As we reached there, I noticed the staff preparing food outside frying puris and arranging dishes for customers. When you enter, the left side is for men, while the right side is a separate family hall, which is great because it gives comfort and privacy to families.
We entered through the glass door into the family hall, where there were green sofa sets arranged in rows and several separate sections for families. The place was already quite full, but we luckily found a cozy sofa and sat down.
Soon, a waiter came with the menu and greeted us very politely. The interior design of the café is really nice the wallpapers have artistic food sketches like samosas, rice, and chutneys, giving a warm and cultural look. The lighting was perfect, the seating was comfortable, and the place was air conditioned, which makes it perfect for hot days in Sargodha.
The menu mainly includes desi food items. They have separate menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Since we were there for breakfast, we checked their breakfast options which included halwa puri, chana curry, aloo bhujia, naan, tea, and lassi. We decided to order one halwa puri platter and a cup of tea. The waiter served us water, glasses, and tissues first, which was a nice gesture.

The staff at Ambala Café were friendly and respectful, greeting us with smiles and polite words. Our order arrived quickly, within five minutes, and everything was freshly prepared. The halwa puri platter looked and smelled amazing two big puris served with halwa, chickpea and potato curry, and a few fried onions. Soon after, my tea arrived, made with good-quality milk and having a rich, perfect taste.
For university students like us, this kind of healthy and energetic breakfast is a great start to the day. The food was tasty, hygienic, and filling. My friends and I often come here because the café is clean, the service is quick, and the food quality never disappoints.
Ambala Café is one of the most popular breakfast spots in Sargodha, loved by both students and locals. The halwa puri platter cost 210 PKR (Around 8 Steem ) , the tea 90 PKR (Around 2 Steem ), making our total bill just 330 PKR ( Around 12 Steem ) very reasonable for such a satisfying meal. We left happy and full, as always. I really recommend Ambala Café to anyone visiting Sargodha you’ll definitely enjoy the breakfast here.
