"Recipe of the Day, Week No. 100: (Homestyle Chicken Aloo Gobi Curry)"

Hearty greetings my dear steemians. How are you all doing today? I hope you are in the mood for something warm and comforting. Today I am excited to share one of my all time favorite homemade dishes with you “Homestyle Aloo Gobi Chicken Curry”. This curry is loved for its rich flavors, tender chicken and perfectly cooked potatoes and cauliflower. I made it with simple ingredients. I am sure you like my recipe and appreciate my effort.
Let me guide you through my easy, step-by-step method to prepare this delicious homemade curry right in your own kitchen guys.
The Ingredients Which I Used For This :

| 5 | Tomatoes Two Big |
| 6 | Cumin Seeds Powder One Spoon |
| 7 | Coriander Powder One Spoon |
| 8 | Black Pepper Powder One Spoon |
| 9 | Salt One Spoon Or As Taste |
| 10 | Red Chilli Powder One Tablespoon |
| 11 | Turmeric Powder Half Spoon |
| 12 | Fresh Green Coriander |
Procedure :
Step 1: |

First I heat about 1 cup of oil in a pan. When the oil becomes hot. I add the chicken. I cook it for a few minutes. Today I am sharing a new style recipe of Aloo Gobi Chicken curry. In this recipe I will show you how to make a delicious curry with chicken, potatoes and cauliflower at home. It is easy to make and very tasty.

Then I fried the chicken until its color changed slightly. I did not over fry it. I only cooked it until it became light golden brown. After that I removed the chicken from the pan and kept it on a separate plate.

When the chicken was removed. I used the same oil to add the potatoes and cauliflower. I had washed it well. I fried it nicely for about four minutes. The smell while frying was amazing. After frying I set the vegetables aside on a separate plate.

When the cauliflower was set aside. I added the sliced onions to the same oil. Normally garlic paste is added after the onions are lightly fried but today I decided to add garlic along with the onions. This gives the curry a nice strong flavor.

I added sliced tomatoes to the pan. I had chopped earlier. After adding the tomatoes. I also added the basic spices red chili, salt, and turmeric but skipped the rest of the spices at this step.

I stirred all the ingredients together to make a thick and flavorful masala. When it was ready. I added the fried chicken back into the pan. I poured in a small amount of water. I covered the pan. So that the curry cook evenly and absorb the flavors.

When the chicken is nearly cooked. I added the rest of the spices cumin powder, coriander powder and black pepper. I let it cook together for two to three minutes. So the flavors could blend well. I add the potatoes and cauliflower to the pan which I fried earlier.

I mixed everything together. I added a small amount of water to help the potatoes cook nicely. I covered the pan. I let the curry simmer on low heat for a short time.

In just a short time. The curry was cooked perfectly. I transferred it to a serving plate.
I garnished with fresh coriander leaves before serving.

Hahaha I totally get that. Yes we do use quite a bit of spice. It really brings out the flavors. Because of my stomach problems my mother scolds me. So I only eat a little. Thanks so much.
Yeah too much of it can be bad, but in Nigeria here it feels like our stomachs have a control over it. I started eating spicy food from a very small age i can eat to any degree lol 😂😂

Wow, that’s amazing. Growing up with spicy food really builds strong tolerance. Your stomach must be a spice champion. Still moderation is always good but it is fun being able to enjoy spicy food without worrying. I loved to eat spicy fast food.
