A warm welcome my dear Steemians. I hope all of your day is filled with positivity and joy. I am thrilled to join this week cooking challenge. It is all about exploring unique homemade flavors.
This time I prepared a soft and spongy Steam Cake. A light and healthy delicacy that is perfectly steamed to perfection. It is simple, comforting and full of taste. I am happy to share this recipe with you all.

Guys I have never prepared a steamed cake before. Well I have tried it many times. I eaten this cake on several occasions. I really enjoyed it. It has a soft, spongy texture and a light sweetness. It makes it very delicious and enjoyable to eat.

The Ingredients Which I Used For This :

| 1 | All Purpose Flour 1½ cups |
| 2 | Sugar Powder 1½ cups |
| 3 | Almond powder Four Tablespoons |
| 4 | Butter 150gm |
| 5 | Mango Jam |
| 6 | Baking Powder Half Spoon |
| 7 | Eggs Four |
| 8 | Vanilla Essence One Spoon |
| 9 | Baking Paper |
| 10 | Almonds Our Own Taste |
| 11 | Pistachio Our Own Taste |

I started by adding butter into a bowl. I mixing it well until it was completely soft and melted. Then I slowly added sugar powder. I kept mixing it. So that it combined perfectly. It turned into a smooth mixture.

After that I added the eggs. I mixed properly. I mixed until everything is well combined. Since I did not have an electric machine. I used a hand whisk. I mixed the batter very carefully. This helped me get a smooth and perfect mixture. It is with a great texture.

So guys I add vanilla essence. I mixed it. Then I put in almond powder. It make the cake rich and tasty. The smell of vanilla is really lovely. It made the mixture better. I mix the ingredients well. Until the batter become smooth and nicely blended.

Then guys I add maida (all-purpose flour). I mixed it. I made sure to mix it. So that the batter become smooth and lump free. Guys good mixing is very important for a perfect cake texture. So I kept stirring until everything is fully combined. The batter looked perfect.

I placed baking paper in the mould. I also greased the sides carefully to prevent sticking. Then I added the cake batter into the mould. I leveled it evenly. At this stage. The cake was ready for steaming.

I boiled water in a pan beforehand. Then I placed a stand in it. Guys I carefully put the batter filled mould on top of it. After that I covered it with a lid. I allowed it to steam for around 30 to 40 minutes. Until it was perfectly cooked.

Guys I checked the cake by inserting a toothpick inside it. It came out clean guys. It confirmed that the cake is perfectly cooked. Then took it out of the mould. I allowed it to cool. It is about for ten to fifteen minutes guys. When it had cooled completely. I placed it on a plate. I gently removed the baking paper.

Then I prepared the glaze for the dry cake. I add six tablespoons of jam. I added it into a pan. Then I added six tablespoons of water. I cooked it on low heat. I let it simmer until the jam melted properly and formed a smooth glaze.

During the preparation of the glaze. I chopped almonds and pistachios into small pieces. After the glaze was ready. I transferred a little amount into a bowl. Then I added the chopped nuts and mixed them well. I kept the mixture aside. So it could cool down a bit before using it.

I used the leftover glaze to coat the cake. I applied it all over the cake very nicely and evenly. The glaze give the cake a beautiful shine. It also enhanced its taste. It making it more delicious and attractive.

Then guys I added the almond and pistachio glaze on top of the cake. I spread it evenly. It give the cake a beautiful finish. It made it fully ready to serve with a delicious topping.
My homemade steam cake is ready to enjoy.
