This recipe is simple yet delicious, making it perfect for everyday meals or special occasions. Potato and Chickpea Curry is hearty, wholesome, and full of traditional flavors that bring warmth and satisfaction to every bite.

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Chickpeas 1 pound
Garlic 1 bulb
Tamarind As needed
Salt To taste
Caraway seeds (Ajwain) 1 tsp
Black seeds (Nigella) 1 tsp
Crushed red chili 1 tsp
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Ground coriander 1 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Green chili 2-3, chopped
Fresh coriander (Cilantro) For garnish

Cooking method

Step 1: Boil the Chickpeas

First, take a pot and boil the chickpeas.

Step 2: Boil the Potatoes

Now take another pot and boil the potatoes.

Step 3: Mash Potatoes and Chickpeas

Once the potatoes and chickpeas are boiled, mash them together to make the filling.

Step 4: Prepare Ingredients

Keep the boiled potatoes, chickpeas, spices, and other ingredients ready.

Step 5: Add Spices

Now add all the spices one by one.

Step 6: Add Tamarind Water and Mix

Add tamarind water, chopped chilies, the potato-chickpea mash, and one glass of water.

Step 7: Final Mix and Serve

Finally, add the boiled potatoes and chickpeas, mix well, and your recipe is ready!

Final presentation
