Steemit is helping me write songs

Ok I've never been much of a writer or talker for that matter, I'm much more of a listener and doer. I have struggled for years writing good songs, it feels like nothing comes out of me or inspires me that has any meaning to it. This is definitely writers block, but I was never really a writer in the first place. When it comes to creating music I'm easily able to write the music using my guitar but the lyrical content is the tough part for me, as I'm not a very open person I tend to keep all my thoughts to myself, this is probably not the best if I want to write good songs.

So hello Steemit, since I've been on steemit I have forced myself to open up a bit more than usual, I would never write about my personal life or experiences on Facebook, but for some reason Steemit is helping me to open up, I don't know why? I guess this has a bit of a personal touch to it and it seems that people respond in a very positive and comforting way. The design of this platform has so many great things to it from financial to networking and becoming more humanizing.

Steemit makes me sit down and put what ever I'm thinking onto paper (computer). I no longer seem to fear if I'm writing something good or bad, I'm just writing!! And to write songs you need to do the same thing, not worry if it's good enough. Overthinking can be very crippling at times and with exercising my thoughts on Steemit I know it will be much easier for me to open up and write good songs with out any fear.
