At that time Jesus said to his disciples, "Behold, I am sending you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and simple as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you up to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues; And for my sake you shall be brought before governors and kings, that ye may bear witness before them and before the Gentiles. But when they deliver you, do not worry about how or what you are going to talk about. What you have to speak will be communicated to you at that moment. For it will not be you who will speak, but the Spirit of your Father who will speak in you.

He will hand over brother to brother and father to son; Children will be raised against parents and killed. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake; But he who endures to the end will save himself. When they persecute you in one city, flee to another, and if you also persecute them, go to another. I assure you, you will not end up going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. "

Reflection:

Today, the Gospel stresses the difficulties and contradictions that the Christian will suffer because of Christ and his Gospel, and how he will resist and persevere to the end. Jesus promised us, "I am with you always, to the close of the age" (Mt 28,20); But he did not promise his people an easy way, on the contrary, he said to them, "You will be hated by all for my name's sake" (Mt 10:22).

The Church and the world are two realities of "difficult" coexistence. The world, which the Church is to convert to Jesus Christ, is not a neutral reality, as if it were a virgin wax that only waits for the seal that shapes it. This would have been so only if there had not been a history of sin between the creation of man and his redemption. The world, as a separate structure from God, obeys another Lord, whom the Gospel of St. John calls "the lord of this world," the enemy of the soul, to whom the Christian has sworn an oath - on the day of his baptism - Of disobedience, of standing face to face, to belong only to the Lord and the Mother Church that has begotten him in Jesus Christ.

En aquel tiempo Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "He aquí, yo os envío como ovejas en medio de lobos: sed, pues, prudentes como serpientes, y sencillos como palomas, guardaos de los hombres, porque os entregarán a los atrios y Te azotarán en sus sinagogas, y por causa de mí seréis llevados ante los gobernadores y reyes, para que testifiques delante de ellos y delante de los gentiles, pero cuando os liberen, no os preocupéis de cómo o de qué hablaréis Lo que habéis de hablar os será comunicado en ese momento, porque no seréis vosotros los que hablaréis, sino el Espíritu de vuestro Padre que hablará en vosotros.

Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por causa de mi nombre; Pero el que persevere hasta el fin se salvará a sí mismo. Cuando os persigan en una ciudad, huid a otro, y si también los persigues, ve a otro. Reflexión:

Hoy, el Evangelio hace hincapié en las dificultades y contradicciones que el cristiano sufrirá a causa de Cristo y su Evangelio, y cómo resistirá y perseverará hasta el fin. Jesús nos prometió: "Yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo" (Mt 28,20); Pero él no prometió a su pueblo una manera fácil, por el contrario, él les dijo: "Usted será odiado por todos por causa de mi nombre" (Mt 10:22).

La Iglesia y el mundo son dos realidades de coexistencia "difícil". El mundo, que la Iglesia debe convertir a Jesucristo, no es una realidad neutral, como si fuera una cera virgen que sólo espera el sello que la moldea. Esto habría sido así sólo si no hubiera habido una historia de pecado entre la creación del hombre y su redención. El mundo, como una estructura separada de Dios, obedece a otro Señor, a quien el Evangelio de San Juan llama "el señor de este mundo", el enemigo del alma, a quien el cristiano ha prestado juramento el día de su Bautismo - de desobediencia, de estar cara a cara, pertenecer sólo al Señor ya la Madre Iglesia que lo ha engendrado en Jesucristo.
