6 Days, 50 Posts, 103 Followers! Steemit is cool!
So Far...
I have posted philosophy, started a blog, shown some artwork, and have only just begun my journey here on Steemit!

I'm not yet making any real money, but that isn't really the point. Steemit is helping me keep on top of things. (Gotta get that next post out there soon! - that kinda thing.) And instead of facebook, not only am I making some money (pennies are better than nothing!) but I feel like part of a growing community that's doing something interesting, futuristic even.
100 Followers!
And I reached 100! 103 even! I'm really excited to see where all this goes. I got about 40 followers within my first day and since then it's been a little over 10 followers added every day. I don't know how normal this growth is, but I've tried to do a post every other day or so, and make at least a few comments on posts every day, and think that has helped my steady growth so far.
These are essentially the basic principles I keep seeing everywhere for growing here on Steemit, which I have broken down specifically as,
- Post Valuable Content
- Make Valuable Comments
It doesn't seem to get much more complicated than that and I hope to stick to it for a while.
Expected Returns (before one week!)
I know I said I haven't made much money, but it is fun to talk a little about. There's 5 dollars on my first post, basically nothing for the rest of my posts, and then about 5 dollars each for two comments (One I did was like a post within a comment - https://steemit.com/curation/@jerrybanfield/make-these-posts-and-i-will-upvote-usd20#@aology/re-jerrybanfield-make-these-posts-and-i-will-upvote-usd20-20170627t184045837z)!
Comments really have power! I did not expect that. Anyway, after payouts get split between creators and curators and 50/50 SP and SD and all that stuff, I think I may have made 2 dollars so far! This is meager, but it means a LOT of room to grow and I'm sure I can beat it next week! Follow me @aology to see!
