Thank you very much for this information, its really helpful considering the damages scammers re beginning to do on peoples account is quite alarming. Passing out information would surely help people from escaping their mischief. Am going to resteem this post for more visibility.

i have a question sir @arcange. I was once a victim of scam thats why my reputation is zero (0). Do I have a chance to raise back my reputation?
You can raise it, but it will be quite hard to restore.
The only way to do it is to publish high quality posts and get upvoted.
If you do not care about your existing account, I would suggest to restart from scratch with a new account.
Do these people ever get caught?
