Exactly, I don't feel like it's a necessary component to one's success here on Steemit. Which is a great thing for us. :)
Yeah SEO can be a pretty difficult stuff to learn, specially if you don't have all the time in the world haha
I think for normal blogs SEO is less important because most of the users get a recommendation from someone else or find it randomly and than they stay. There is not much searching for a blog
