RE: The Steemit Daily Dose: The rise of trolls and Social Justice Warriors (SJWs) on Steemit.

Nobody wants to get downvoted by somebody of a different political philosophy - because they disagree over what is or isn't good policy. That doesn't seem the SteemIt way - it seems contrary to the concept of freedom of speech. Of course, "might makes right" is a flawed concept. Using superior amounts of money to destroy and discourage dissent to your own way of thinking is simply admitting that the only solution for your flawed ideas is to resort to ecomonic violence. People who choose to use these kinds of tactics are only broadcasting their own lack of character and morals - they are bankrupt of good ideas, or of being able to effectively communicate why their ideas are superior.

As far as Craig Grant goes... I spoke my peace on him a month ago. I don't like what I see, I said so, and I moved on. Hopefully, my concerns regarding the content of his character are incorrect. Hopefully, he's not involved in a huge scam. Frankly, it matters none to me - because I'm not invested in his BitConnect/high-pressure-salesmanship way of doing things. I have no stake, and I stand to gain or lose absolutely nothing from that situation. For my own reasons, I have chosen to insulate myself from what I see as a high-risk, possibly scammy investment.

If there is something as big as BitConnect going bad in the future, and he's here on SteemIt - I fail to see how it would benefit anybody involved on SteemIt, other than to educate them on what NOT to get involved with. Best case scenario is that my concerns are completely invalidated, and everybody involved in BitConnect makes a buttload of money, and their business model proves itself to be resilient and honest, long into the future. So far, I'm not convinced that it's for me - and I have moved on to other, greener pastures.

I've unfollowed most people in CG's orbit, so I'm not "current" on what's been going on there. Hopefully the players involved over there will all learn to remain positive, classy, and constructive - using SteemIt to learn and enrich their lives, their pocketbooks, and do it in a way that we can all see is beneficial to the world.

Whale flagging like this is still one of the sores on the side of Steemit. Alongside spamming it's one of the biggest problems on Steemit!
