How To Win On Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

Many people join Steemit with bright eyes and bushy tails.

It doesn't take long for most new accounts to see that the ones making all the money are the ones with large account balances.

This can be discouraging for sure. But, don't miss this simple fact: Slow and steady wins the race!

If you're looking to get rich quick then you're likely not going to make it here.

The absolute most important thing you can do to grow your account is to show up consistently everyday and give value.

The spammy commenting and posting isn't going to be rewarded forever.

You must be present with the time you spend on this site.

What I mean is don't be posting just to get a reward. Post only when you have genuine value to give.

In the early days of the site, almost any content is collecting rewards, but this won't always be the case.

Over time the quality content and engagement will be the only thing getting rewards.

Keep this in mind and make your engagements here count!

The worst thing you can do is ruin your reputation in these early days.

If you are in it for the long haul and develop a great reputation, then much success will come your way.

Keep your head down, give value, and serve the community!

Keep on steemin!

Im a college student from Atlanta and I'm seeing that their arent many diverse users on steem yet. Most successful post are technial and informative and little art and pop culture-centered users exist. I believe in the platform but i cant wait until the Steemit community becomes more diverse

Right! There is a content diversity issue. I have a business I’d like to talk about but am fearful I’d get slaughtered. The way forward is finding a community within the community to support more diverse content. All I can say is hang in there. We’re gonna need at least a few million users before this will likely start to happen in force. Day at a time! Thanks for the comment!
