Just had my first baby boy today!
My wife just gave birth today to a baby boy. It was a remarkable experience as I await for the addition of a new member to my family. This post was not written with the intention to 'earn' steem but it fits more of a purpose of recording my life journal.
According to the doctor, my baby was supposed to be due 10 days ago. However due to work commitment, my wife and I waited until today before we go for the regular checkup with the doctor. Let me warn you guys, do not ever take it lightly if your baby is late for delivery. I learned my lesson the hard way today.
My wife has to be operated in order to artificially deliver our baby. We went to the hospital at 6am in the morning and waited till 2pm before my wife heads to the operating theater. Be exceptionally thankful if you are in a country whereby medical and healthcare services are top notch. Be grateful to those health care providers who make this happens. It was a long wait and to make it worse the weather was so hot and humid. Yes, NO AIR CONDITION!!
Nevertheless, we were pushed around by poor service providers who treated us more like slaves than customers to the hospital. We were expected to know the operation flow of the admission process without ever having read about such manual at all. How are you going to know that immediately after the CT scan you have go directly to the emergency ward and await to be warded? Too much x men movies I guess since we are assumed to be mind readers.
As I am typing this post, I finally get to see my wife but not my baby yet. My baby have to be put under the 'warm light' (anyone who know the terminology for this warm light, please advise below) to condition his young body. This is also the reason why I have not posted his pic here yet.
Fellow members in this committee, it is a wonderful feeling to be a Dad but the responsibilities are even greater. I sympatize my wife who has to undergo the surgery which is extremely painful. For one, I can never endure the pain that she have to go through. Guys, be thankful to your wife for giving birth to your child. It is not easy to give birth.
Congratulations! Best wishes you you and your family. I hope all are well.

Congratulations!!!! What a wonderful and fearful experience. I can't imagine your anxiety to see your little child's face for the first time. May God bless you all. Your wife is lucky because you seem to be loving and understanding. Well, please, continue posting about your little son. And, of course, post a photo!!!!
