We learn from David that he delights in knowing and fervently seeking God daily, regardless of his situation.

Then Paul stood up, made a sign of silence with his hand, and said:
Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen: 17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers and exalted the people while they were strangers in the land of Egypt, and with a high arm He brought them out of it. 18 And for about forty years He supported them in the wilderness. 19 And after destroying seven nations in the land of Canaan, He gave them its territory as an inheritance. 20 Afterward, He gave them judges for about four hundred and fifty years until the prophet Samuel. 21 Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. 22 After removing David, he made David their king. He also bore witness to him, saying, "I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who will accomplish all my desire."

Acts 13:16-22

We remember the stories of King David very well. He was a man who had sinned and at the same time was called "a man after God's own heart," and he was used by the Lord with power. What made the Bible record David in this way? What distinguished David from others was the priority he placed on his relationship with God, as David delighted in the constant pursuit of knowledge of God, fervently seeking Him. Let's read the following lines, which are like a declaration of love to God, declaring that He was the best thing he could have in life, thus promising to praise Him all his life.

God, you are my God;
Early in the morning I will seek you;
My soul thirsts for you, my flesh yearns for you,
In a dry and weary land where there is no water,
For your loving-kindness is better than life;
My lips will give thanks to you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
In your name I will lift up my hands.

Psalm 63:1, 3, 4

Although David lived like us, exposed to sin, giving in to it, and many other situations that are not worth repeating, he saw life from a God-centered perspective, expressing through his words the wonders of God's power, thus demonstrating his dependence on him and loyalty to God. We also see that David prayed frequently and fervently, raising his requests before God, awaiting their answers with complete certainty and confidence that God would fulfill them.

O Lord, early in the morning you will hear my voice;
Early in the morning I will stand before you and wait.

Psalm 5:3

Just as worship and prayer fueled David's trust in God moment after moment, so too did his faith in God sustain him through every difficult moment of his life. We see this from his youth, when he was a shepherd protecting sheep from the attacks of wild animals. Later, we see how he faced Goliath, representing the people of Israel, with complete trust and confidence in God.
We see through the psalms David's yearning and fervent desire to know God more and more each day. For this reason, he sought God's guidance day after day. In this same way, the apostle Paul exhorts us to seek the knowledge of the Lord so that our faith may inspire us to rest in His power.

2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 And I was among you in weakness and fear and trembling in much. 4 My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
