Done to death?

This series has been an action filled ride, totalling up to 8 movies. Although I feel that the third movie was made out of turn, and should have been fifth in the series. But what are your thoughts on the FAST AND FURIOUS series?
Has it been done to death as the title implies, or do you think they should keep going with the next movie and THEN the tenth?
