Why Should You Blog in STEEMIT?
# I started blogging wayback seven months ago. Being a passionate reader, I always dream of writing may it be a short story, a novel, or an article one of these days. Considering blogging as the newest trend around, I quickly jumped to the idea when a friend and a steemit mentor first introduced me to this world.
Why would anyone want to blog?
Personally, there are plenty of reasons. This is the list that I came up to, do read it through and see some of the reasons why.
- FUN AND REWARDING
As a government employee with a meager net take home pay due to ceaseless loans, I always want to earn some extra peso which will accomodate some of the basic needs. Upon my inquiry and further research, I realized that blogging in steemit is not only fun but rewarding as well.
I used to post and read stories about other people's lives through my media accounts in facebook, tweeter and instagram. And after hours of all these eavesdropping of other people's lives, opinions, rants and criticisms appearing on my wall, all I get are tired watery eyes and a sickening nauseating feeling in the pit of my stomach.
That's when I decided to settle for some writing that would somehow be of benefit to other people's lives, can solve their problems, bring some enlightenment and perhaps something entertaining.
2.NEW FRIENDS TO KEEP
As a person who prefers to go home right away and cherish a "me" time instead of going out with friends and bar hopping till dawn, I was so happy to gain virtual friends right away.
It's simply amazing! I started to get followed and my blogs were complimented. Through steemit, I came to pour out my thoughts without any qualms. I realized that blogging paves way not only through a new friendship, it is also a great way of meeting like-minded people who share the same values, hobbies, beliefs and goals in life.
3.NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN NEW THINGS
Wayback during my early years, I used to buy and read materials of all sorts. Presently, with e-books, everything is downloadable and just within your grasp anytime anywhere.
With steemit, I was given the opportunity to write anything under the sun. There are always a variety of good topic to blog about. May it be about helpful tips on simple snack preparation, about my kids, how my day went, and many more. Each day is also a good start for me to discover new things and ideas as I read more from other steemians blog.
4.CHALLENGING ONESELF
Going out of my comfort zone is never a problem for me since I was used to standing and speaking in front of the crowd since I was a teenage student until now that I am already an educator myself. And it's a challenge for me to switch into writing where I got to be particular with the proper subject-verb agreement.
I'll tell you though, blogging is a way to break the monotony of your life. Each day, I am always excited to see how my day will unfold, sourcing from it a firsthand experience of my journey in life. It is this way that I am most challenge to do something worthwhile thus taking everything into a constructive level rather than destructive.
5.BEST OPPORTUNITY TO EARN
In my seven months steemit blogging, I was already able to reap the rewards of my sacrifices once. It was not that much though the sweet thought of an honestly earned cent is more rewarding.
Through steemit, certain posts of mine were curated, reesteem, upvoted and commented pleasantly. And was even featured. It's what matters most. To leave behind a real legacy through making your name worthy enough to be known.
A penny for your thought, "Blog with love. "
Money just always comes second as a motivation in your blogging. Write with fervent ardor and be passionate with it. Your readers will be able to tell what particular topic you most stand out and they will surely follow and would love to hear more from you for that.
Right now, you might be wondering what to write already. I do hope that I somehow managed to give you the idea.
Thank you!!!
Truly yours,
@drahries.

Yep! A good reason many of us are on the Steem blockchain instead!
Absolutely right. Glad you are now “in here” @drahries. I hope you will consider our community, for your future efforts.
Thank you for your effort here to add value to our Steem blockchain!
Hi there @roleerob. I am really grateful for all your positive comments. It is truly motivating me to write more good content despite not having any internet connection. Again, my thanks! 😍
It was my sincere pleasure @drahies. I am very new at being online period, let alone on our Steem blockchain. One of the joys of putting in the time is to interact with others, such as yourself.
Please keep the faith and "keep on keepin' on" ... Until we "meet" again, all the best to you and yours, for a better tomorrow! 😊 👍
Hi @drahries. Very well done post on a great subject. It really is the key components to succeeding. The people I have met and talk with, I personally don't consider them 'virtual' friends. There are several people I know better than some people that call themselves my friends. Interaction and engaging is one of the most important keys too. Keep at it.
As you know @aiyumi featured you in this week's @pifc's Pay It Forward Curation Contest. You article shows you would fit in with what we are trying to do. Please take a look at what we do here @pifc
