Getting the hang of steemit

So I got introduced to steemit, my first impression was "nah, this is not for me, I barely know anything about cryptocurrencies, other than it being a term I frequently see online"but few hours into roaming the site, I found out that there is room enough to accommodate those of us who enjoy expressing ourselves with written words.
