Odd drop, I've heard no reports of downtime. Perhaps people overdid it with the really high rewards and lost some enthusiasm as price dropped. I guess the other option is some posts were bots and they've dropped offline.
No idea what it is, maybe it has something to do with the whales.... let see how it goes tomorrow....

Thank you for your report very much! May I know is the reward pool become normal again? As yesterday you say that it keeping drop very fast. I am very afraid and worry about that. Is the number drop again? Or it had back to normal? As steemit is one of my main source of income.
I haven't been active on Steemit I guess I'm the reason why the number of authors is down.. but I will active as from today

finally less authors
For me there's been a drop in payout compared to before HF 20. It's a bit discouraging when a blog you spent hours making gets seen by only a few people when prior to the HF a photo would get 100 views and 20 Steem.

Well the authors can be decreased due to the high influx of new people. People that think it's quick money and then realise it isn't will stop posting as well ;)
If the price of Steem go up, that would help at the moment....
