Still my favorite quote of all time. Alright, so I have been paying attention these last 2 weeks on organizing everything that I want to do here on Steemit. Preparing for my mission here.
I has taken me a while to identify, as I am the kind of person who is fast-paced, and I get bored of things quickly. I have been trying to identify a sustainable, long-term vision for what I want to achieve here. My conclusion is simple:
My mission here is to help the people. I want to be the person at the top, but in the same picture, the person giving their time. Of course, the money is important, because money can do many good things. I would LOVE to get to the point (And I know I will eventually) when I do not require a single cent from this Steemit account. When that time comes, my further mission would be to give every cent generated here, back to those in need.
I have said this many times before. My time is my most valuable asset. So even though I do not have the most SP right now, I am willing to spend as many hours as I can to help those who need, and who appreciate my time.
So, now for the update. For the past 3 weeks I have been hosting my Post Promotion Threads. I have also been hosting my Shout-Out Saturday posts.
So, here is how I am organizing things from this point forward..
I will be hosting my Post Promotion Threads every 3-4 days. The point of these threads are that I give you guy's the opportunity to comment the links to your posts. I give each person a maximum of 3 links to post, in individual comments, per thread. Myself, and my current partners in this initiative, @vm2904, and the guys at Qurator, will do our part to give you guys some more attention. I will engage in each and every link thrown at me.
I will then identify, out of those, the top 10 underrated (undervalued) posts. I will give the list to Qurator, and they will curate those posts with a small (for now) upvote.
From the top 10, I will identify the most undervalued post and author. That author will win the spot to my Shout-Out Saturday post. But there's more.
Here's what that author will win:
- The spot in that week's Shout-Out Saturday post, hosted by me.
- A lifetime membership (auto-vote) on the Qurator account.
- My upvote and support.
I will be doing motivational posts in between all of that too.
That is the current plan. This is just the very beginning. I plan to expand this initiative every single week, so stay tuned.

I'm not in it for the money, just want to add value and give back to such a wonderful, welcoming and loving community steemit is.
Of course, it is the power of Steemit to give to others. However, i´the system rewards every step you do if you allow it. And developing something costs time and money. You can get compensation for that here. ;)

Hi Zane, I follow your posts since a while and I am really impressed by the frequency you are posting and in the same time giving much useful information to the people. It is not just "hot air" you are exhaling. ☺️
But I can't imagine you to keep the same high quality in future when you try to answer every comment in the same intensity without risking either getting superficial OR totally exhausted. It seems to be almost a full-time job you are doing here. You have my respect for that.
So - beside the very good advices you give, keep in mind that there are people out there also just blogging and wanna have fun. Of course, steemit is living on good content, but it won't grow wider (in the sense of reaching more average people) if the requirements for success would be like what you are presenting here. I simply mean: people have jobs beside steemit. 😀

Interestingly said. I appreciate your point of view and opinion on that topic. For me, when I discuss my approach, I firstly don't only mean on Steemit, but rather in life. I understand of course people have daily jobs, and I am not trying to change that. But you must understand my approach is not typical.
Rest assured, I do not expect many people to fall asleep at 6am in the morning after grafting.. But in the same sense, you must keep in mind how many people ask me lately how I am able to do what I do.. Which in that case, I need to be transparent about my mentality :) Hope that makes sense.
With „superficial“ I mean that your approach is to give anybody attention, but this isn’t possible when may get 100 comments on each post - at least not without any stress.
Thank you for clarification that your advice is also for daily life. I agree 100%: no effort - no reward. And really, that’s actually the most important advice you can give to people, because the number of people thinking about getting rich and famous overnight is growing. Sometimes I have the feeling, nobody wanna do the „dirty work“ anymore. But it has to be done.

That's the thing, 100 comments isn't my stress.. It's when this platform starts to pick up real speed, and this account has 20k? 30k? 50k? 100k followers.. 1000 generic comments per post.. That is going to be a struggle.
I do not mind 100 comments :D I think it needs to be done. The only person I see, so far, living to a good standard is @sweetsssj. So with her doing it, I MUST do it just out of respect.

It has been a while. I've been running around a lot, balancing too many things. Such is life. I keep your advice in the back of my head, though, about this being the time to double down and really get ahead. I'd like to get back to that point soon.
