Naruto (Naruto) is a manga series created by Masashi Kishimoto and adapted to the anime by Hayato Date, which tells the story of a hyperactive, unpredictable and loud teenage ninja named Naruto Uzumaki, who aspires to Hokage, the highest ninja grade in his village, for the purpose of being recognized as an important person within it. The series is based on a one shot that Kishimoto made in August of 1997 for the magazine Akamaru Jump. From 1999 Naruto is published by the publisher Shūeisha in the Japanese edition Shōnen Jump, being compiled since then in 50 volumes. The success of the manga made its plot adapted into an anime produced by Pierrot studios and distributed by Aniplex, which was aired on TV Tokyo on October 3, 2002. The first season lasted 220 episodes, while Which followed Naruto: Shippūden began broadcasting on February 15, 2007. In addition, Studios Pierrot has produced six films along with several original video animations based on Naruto. Other pieces of merchandising include a set of light novels, video games and collection cards developed by different companies
