Facebook is much more older than Steemit, it very simple to apply and easy, steemians will have to wait 2weeks before they are accepted, that time , some will have forgotten they made a joining request,
So far Steemit is doing pretty much fine and am sure in some years to come it's gonna be a boom for all of us the early adapters
