You Will Fu*k Up This Year (again)!
It's 2026!
You made your goals for the new year and are excited af to get to work.
This time is for real!
You browsed looking for the perfect working setup, spent a ton ordering things, and can't wait for them to arrive so you can finally make a shit ton of money in the markets.
Unfortunately, you already fucked up.
Better tools ≠ Better outcomes
I used to be that guy. Whenever I started a new hobby, the first thing I'd do with my time and energy was buy expensive tools, looking for the "perfect setup" to get better.
Most people do it too when taking the next step in their investing/trading journey.
Buying several monitors, the best mic, high-quality headphones, and tech gadgets, only to realize what a waste of money and energy that is.
When you start trading, you fill your TradingView screen with 10 indicators, and the more time you spend trading, the less you use them because you know they're just noise when applied inappropriately.
You are focusing on the wrong things at the start of the journey, which is the most challenging and most impactful time in your growth. That's when resilience is at its minimum because the path seems so long.
Some of the wealthiest traders in the world have laughably simple setups: headphones and a laptop, sometimes just a phone.
The need for multiple screens, phones, and gadgets
Why do you really need all of that? If you look deep down, you'll find the need stems from a lack of knowledge, preparation, and focus.
You buy things to hide your lack of skill, and, more importantly, your lack of willingness to learn.
Having more tools at your disposal makes things feel like they'll work out better and that you're making progress.
It makes you feel like you're doing things (you're not).
The best tools are free, but no one uses them
It really is that simple.
The one thing people don't want to look at is themselves. They always think money isn't growing because the market is against them.
The market doesn't care about you and never will. That realization should be freeing.
You need to look at your habits, reactions, flaws, and strengths and learn how to navigate your own mind. Growth comes from within, and your wallet only grows after you put in the work.

Focus on Improving
Don't give up
Forgive yourself
Keep trying
Invest, don't gamble
This is the tricky part.
You probably get mad when you make a stupid decision (we all do), but do you work on changing your ways in the future?
We are so prideful that we think memory alone will save us from repeating the same mistakes. It doesn't. You must record it somewhere, on paper/notion/app, or in a similar tool.
There is no excuse anymore. You can open ChatGPT or any other AI tool and journal your days with it and then ask it questions.
