Much safer than using your own number and leaving it all over the internet and in apps. Lately I like using virtual numbers. They really help when you need to receive sms with an activation code or registration confirmation. On top of that, I’ve already had situations where you leave your number somewhere and then get a ton of spam. That doesn’t happen now, which is a relief.
