Top 1 rule for beginners / dont waste your time ^^

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Dont post photos from internet without citing the source.

Its really easy and simple for just everyone to see where did you get that photo from.

Saying its yours, is funny, sad and it gives you flags/downvotes from other users and bots.

ex

If i post this photo, and write

my bae, we just heading to Krakow steem on upvte pls

and if you open Chrome, right click on that photo, and choose search google for image (do it^^)

it will show you this>

Noname.jpg
Noname2.jpg

important note>

RESIZING AND MAKING IT BLACK AND WHITE WONT WORK

so simply, dont do that. it doesnt make any sense.

INCLUDE SOURCE OF PHOTO IN YOUR POST. it wont result in less people voting for you. it wont kill you, its simple and good thing to do.

But if you dont do that, there is many bots and people who will flag you, put you on blacklists, mark you as thieves, blow up your car or simply make your reputation around 4.

so you will have to open new account, and start all over. and its serious waste of time ^^

why not starting with respecting the most basic rule and saving yourself some time?

Its not likely that you will make it to 20$ payout with photos from internet and without citing the source.

You will put pretty much effort into nothing. You need 300 or more internet pics to make it to 20 payout. not many people are voting for that stuff, everyone can see its from internet and without source.

they dont want to waste upvotes at someone who breaks the rules.

And when you just think theres my 20$, someone will downvote it to 0, on 7th day, just hour before payout. And you wasted whole week.

just add that source:_________ line.

Also, if you see people who are making same mistake, spread advice to them. Many people here dont know english, if you know their language, get involved, help them / make yourself a friend.

so lets repeat the top 1 rule

Always include source of photos you take from internet. its good for reputation. And its not annoying and stupid like when you try to sell it as your own.

This trick is in google chrome. You cannot do this in safari.

Virus?

There's no real counterincentive though. If I just spam stuff all day for the sweet Steem pennies, it doesn't make sense to take the time to document sources, or heaven forbid, post original content, when it's quicker and I don't get punished for blatantly plagiarizing everything.

ive spent last 2 days checking photos only, for a couple of hours. i was warning them first, report/flag if they ignore and keep posting.
some of them even updated their posts with sources, and kept doing it right in their next posts. but that was like 3 out of 20.

it seems bloody work for steemcleaners, and they cant reach much of it.

i think people who are running contests should take care about their tags. colorchallenge and sevendaybw challenge are full of plagiarism.

also i think it would be enough if 1000 users work on this for 2 hours weekly. just warn them, report them or advice them.

not for community values, or greater good, but simply because its stupid and annoying.

Hehehe, odlicno :)
