HAPPY HIPPIE QUOTES #80 - The PATH to SUCCESS
“When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.”— Eric Thomas
People very often and flippantly refer to the above quote - and yet as glaringly accurate as it is - it still seems that so many people fail to accept that. In addition to the above quote, is another one which is commonly seen...
"The only time that success comes before work is in the dictionary" - Vince Lombardi
It is far too common an occurrence how everyone wants "instant this" and "immediate that" but nobody wants to put in the spade work required in order to achieve that. To me, this is becoming somewhat of an epidemic worldwide really... people are becoming lazier and lazier... You often see it here on steemit too.
There are people who have been here for one month and are stomping their feet and throwing tantrums because they have not been INSTANTLY recognised and have not become instant millionaires. They want everyone else to do everything for them, refusing to stand on their own two feet and quite frankly, it is really SAD!
WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!! - No, really - WAKE UP!!
If you TRULY want to be successful at something - then you have to learn to master it... for yourself, BY yourself! You have to give it all you have and some more! You have to persist through ALL the challenges and you can simply NEVER give up! You need to put your FOCUS on where you want to be and then work your hiney off off to get there - irrespective of what it is that you are working at! You literally have to want it more than you would want a glass of water after two days in the desert!
When you eventually start to treat your desires with DETERMINATION, PASSION and TIRELESS EFFORT.... then and ONLY then will you start to see the fruits beginning to form.
And just so there is no confusion... Giving something your best, once, twice, or even ten times - is seldom enough. You have to be willing to repeat it it as many times as it takes to get where you want to be! it really is as SIMPLE as that!
WHAT IS HAPPY HIPPIE QUOTES ALL ABOUT...
People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily! – Zig Ziglar
I am a total sucker for anything motivational and/or inspirational, I often spend a good amount of time browsing quotes online to share with followers on various other platforms so I figured why not make it a daily habit here on Steemit too ;)
Despite the fact that I am a complete and utter tech junkie and I love so much about our modern world - (yes, there is a lot that I DON’T like as well… but keep up people… this is a happy hippy post), I have often considered the fact that I might have been born in the wrong era.
I have an insatiable love for anything 60’s!
So here I sit - in the 21st century, perhaps minus the bell bottoms but definitely not without the happy spirit, excessive array of colour (everywhere) and juuuuust a few gadgets to boot…he he!
Welcome to…
HAPPY HIPPIE QUOTES
Until next time...
Much Love from Cape Town, South Africa xxx
OMG we have so much in common! I write a lot of motivational articles so this was naturally the first spot i stopped after i got accepted to #steembloggers. When i open up the tag it was like hell yeah, a post made just for me, a happy hippie (who loves motivation). Lol.
I listen to motivational speeches every morning and it has totally changed my life!
Great article, i literally was shaking my head "yes" throughout the entire article. Lol.. glad to meet another like minded person on steemit! :)
hahahaha classic @moderndayhippie - yip it sure does change a persons mindset. Am thrilled to have "met" you here and to have you as a part of our REALLY AWESOME community. Will see you on the "other side" ;)
maybe "met" was the wrong word ;) lol, i guess "find" woulda been more suiting..
Either way, thank you for accepting me into #steembloggers. :) i didnt realize u were the one in charge around here when i read ur article.. what are the chances of that?!
Anyhow, take care
Catch you on the other side ;)
I also love motivational posts and I always try to look for some either in the morning or when I don't feel my 100% and it works amazingly.
Thanks for this inspirational post. Like the old saying say "No pain No gain"
It sure does!!! @joalvarez! Glad you stopped by then ;) Thank you for the lovely input too xxx
Damn-effing-straight you have to work for it!
Love your motivational posts @jaynie... and this one is particularly important for all aspiring Steemians. Unfotunately, we seem to more and more be living in the age of "The Lottery Effect;" people wanting riches without effort.
People like you and I don't get good results on Steemit because we sit around and throw ourselves Wah-Wah Parties... we get there because we take the opportunities we see and bust our butts, day after day, after day.
Which (I guess!) is also why it annoys me when I see people trying to BUY their way to success here... grrrr!
lol @ "The Lottery Effect" - oh man that is so true!!!! and high five to the busting our butts part!!
Very good Thanks for beautifull qoutes @jaynie Resteemed
I appreciate the support. Thank you @sehrishfatima :)
Welcome sis :)
To believe in success is half of success.
Good Post Jaynie :)
Nice one of a truth you can't wake-up one day and meet success at your door step. Hardwork produce success therefore hardwork before success and not the otherwise
Precisely!!! ;)
Great post! I especially like the Tony Robbins quote. Some sound thoughts here. Success comes to those who make mistakes and face rejection and failure, but get up again and again to work harder and smarter.
As a writer, sometimes I struggle to pluck words from nothingness and string them together into a story, but I sit down and write anyway. When one book isn't picked up by a major agent or publisher, I pen another one, and another, and consider other options (like self-publishing).
Like the Japanese proverb says: "Fall down seven times, get up eight."
As someone who is relatively new in this community, I realize it's up to me to prove I can create amazing content and be a fun, supportive friend to those I find interesting enough to follow. Success requires honest hustle, and favours those who are willing to keep at it for the long haul. Steem on!
You definitely have the right attitude my dear :)
Really true, initially i was also impatient and wanted to grow on Steemit Platform very quickly, for that i was sharing the post links in the comments instead of genuine comments. But one day an experienced Steemit Member said exact lines as "Don't spam your comments or leave the Steemit platform", from that particular moment I decided that no matter how much time it will take to grow on this platform, i will not take the shortcuts and will gain my followers with my hardwork, genuine and worthy conversation, I've earned very little from Steemit Platform but that little is really great to me because i have earned through my hard work, the most important thing is i earned lot of knowledge in every aspect of life while reading the Motivational, Inspirational and life blogs post on Steemit, and inturn this encouraged to me to share my genuine feelings in the comments. At last i want to say that, in my opinion shortcut can give pleasing effect for one moment, the satisfaction of manifestation of your goals through hard work can give everlasting satisfaction and happiness. Your post is encouraged me to share my views. Thanks for sharing.
Have a great day and stay blessed.
@jaynie You got good sense of humour and writing skills. Most of the newbie here are confused in this community, they think steemit is money making platform rather than social media or blogging. This is the factor that most of the peoples are begging for upvotes and other rewards. As always, the long term project needs patience and we should evolve through the development of this community. Hope your post motivates lots of peoples in this community like me. Thank you for motivating us.
Very well said!
Thanks a lot for sharing your valuable post....
Carry on next
Best of luck..
I will still wait for your next post....
Thank you.... I appreciate your positivity. I shall continue to do my best :)
