Posting vs Commenting: What Strategy commands more SBD/Steem flow streams

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Using an Airtable to compute data from Steem.Supply I can see that the next 6 days I will be getting more SBD/Steem from Commenting than from posting.

So the answer is clear: It all will depend on how you invest your time. Hence you must developed a clear strategy of where and how you will concentrate.

In my case I will stick to 3 post a day: AM, Noon & PM and invest at least 30% of my time to commenting. Why? Because my Network is very small and via commenting I may end up making a lot of friends and fans.

Posting vs Commenting

What sort of earnings did you see from commenting alone?

I am a small Minnow, hence I am not talking here about hundreds. I am only making USD $50 a week. Next Following Days it will be 40% - 60% split between posting & commenting. And thanks very much for your question since it made me improve my airtable measurements.

Welcome. You’re making great progress. That $50 per week will soon turn into $50 per day. Onwards and upwards!

I don't plan that way. I have been seeing that the $50 range oscillates due to me no posting nor commenting in some days and the variation of SBD/Steem Market prices.

My next goal would be $💯

really i agree with you this topic....
i just learn to your post about posting and commenting subject.thanks for share this post with us

Thanks a lot for your comment. I see you got 908 Followers. If you resteem this post, I will send you 0.042 Steem, based on my reward formula for resteemers.

Glad to see yaw talking about this I'm pretty new here trying to figure things out I'm less than a minnow I'm more like fish semen but hey I'm trying been getting some change on my post and comments think I even pulled a buck fifty on one but I'm getting up there I really like steemit though tons of info on here and cool people from everywhere love it steemit on baby

What @cryptoctopus has been teaching is that if you want to have exit and success in here, one must become a Jedi Trainer. I took his word literally, and I transforming myself into Locutus of Steemit and practing some Splinter Skills as I learn.

Count on me for asking anything. Although I know only from my experience and that is about 1%, I could be of help saving people hours and days of work. I am willing to share my experience with other. I am a massive networker from LinkedIn.

Milt is the seminal fluid of fish, mollusks, and certain other water-dwelling animals who reproduce by spraying this fluid which contains the sperm, onto roe (fish eggs). Milt as food[edit]. Smelt milt. Milt or soft roe also refers to the male genitalia of fish when they contain sperm, used as food https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milt

You can do both, but for me I invest more time in commenting, as long as you read the post and understands its content you can give quality comment and I agree you will increase your network if they see sense in what you say. By being interactive you will definitely gain friends from around the world. 😊😉 I love the idea of doing post 3x a day, thanks for sharing this @justinomora !

Although I enter Steemit on June 2017, I was not concentrated on SBD/Steem streams of cash flows. I had been concentrated on bringing people from my 1 Million Network into Steemit as I though that having a huge fan base will produce instant cash. But I has been very hard to bring people on board.

Then I decided to pay for resteeming, and later on I found resteemers which I have been evaluating.

But It was not until December 2017 when I got hit by a Whale with a strong Upvote which change my whole thing. Since then I started to pay more attention to SBD/Steem Cash Flows as source of Revenue.

I went even into dedicating 50% of my working time to Steemit, and learn its ropes. In 2018 I will dedicate 60% of my time, at least.

I am interested to know your 1M Network, that's huge. Wow!
We should know how to strategize here as what I've learned from a whale that 20-30 comments a day will really help build our network and also increase SBD and Steem Power.

  • 30,000 LinkedIn 1º Degree Connections
  • 18,000 Linkedin Fan Page
  • 6,000 Facebook Fan Page
  • 8,000 Twitter Followers
  • 750,000 Email Data Base Connections from my work as Headhunter/Recruiter 2001 - 2015
  • The difference against the 1 Million, I buy Boosted Facebook which is the cheapest, and the one I am using as comparative Metric to pay for Resteeming my posts.

I continue to be a Worldwide Headhunter/Recruiter turn into Job Search Specialist. But Steemit has changed my rules of game.

In Steemit I plan to hunt, too, but also to make some revenue. Really, the way that Steemit is impacting me, I do not know what I will end up being. For Time being I consider myself as Locutus of Steemit on the 60% Time Slot assigned.

I am not LinkedIn ing any more. I only use it to make connnections and hunt. Even I try to bring them here.

This has become a BORG assimilation strategy:

"I am Locutus of Borg. Resistance is futile. Your life as it has been is over. From this time forward, you will service us."

http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Locutus_of_Borg

As long as you're enjoying on that 60% I believe you'll increase your SBD and Steem Power more. :) I am just a minnow and I am building friendship with other Steemians from around the world and this is giving me a rewarding feeling.

agree,upvoted :D

Yes o. I realized early on in my steemit walk, that commenting does fetch handsome rewards, especially when its properly done... That involves actually reading the posts you comment on, and making comments that are directly related to the content read, and not just abstract comments that almost resemble spamming.

I support you with my resteem service

The best strategy ever for beginners in steemit is commenting.

It's sort of like being in a crowded room and trying to decide who to talk to and who to listen to.
My problem is that I want to listen to everybody, but can't decide who to talk to. But then, I also want to join in on the conversation. (sigh)
Sometimes it takes as much creativity to be a top commenter, as it does to create content.
