Just delegated almost everything to MinnowBooster, for now. My 100% upvote at 100% voting power is only worth $0.07 now. So I guess I'll find out who my "content followers" are!
I'm a little discouraged about this platform as I mentioned a few days ago, when it was getting hit with DDoS attacks just after I had bought in again. I've checked it daily ever since and it's still having issues; today seems better than yesterday.
So, I have just delegated all but 600 or so SP to MinnowBooster (wanted to keep 500+ so I'd still have the "upvote slider"). This means I'll earn around 18 SBD per day (and, it just sent the payout a half hour ago, which was a little over 19 SBD). I suppose this also makes me "angry whale"-proof, as whatever he chooses to do to me won't affect the MinnowBooster investment, regardless of what he can manage to do to my reputation, or to payouts on posts and comments I'm no longer making (again, hopefully, temporarily).
My voting power is currently at 100%, and http://steemnow.com tells me that my 100% upvote is worth seven cents.
Thus, I won't be upvoting people with a dollar (or two or three!) any longer. Seven cents is the maximum.
I'll likely buy back in later.
When I had stock options in the 90s and became temporarily amazingly wealthy, I had a large number of "fair-weather friends" -- which I didn't know at the time, until the money dried up.
I'm wondering if I'm about to weather a similar period.

I have peanuts compared to your 30K+ SP. I get only .02 @ 100% I delegated 1/3 to minnowbooster a while back and made a couple of other delegations via the minnowhelper.com website.
I am impressed with your transaction but bothered as to your motivation for it. I'll keep looking in and busting my ass trying to get whaled.
I have seen a lot of problems with steemit but being just a "yute" I don;t have any pull in the community to try and get noticed to a point that my opinion even matters. But I keep up the struggle. Don't go away now.

While I agree in general, the concussion symptoms make dealing with errant computing really painful. Thus I'd rather walk away from here for a few days while the upvotes aren't recording properly, than sit here waiting minutes for it to continue to fail and forget what I'm planning to do next.
Writing about the problems in a work log, though, that I can do -- and then copy/paste once the site's working again.
I am as well "bothered by my motivation for it"; there are destructive people out there and things like CloudFlare should be in use to prevent the extent of their destructiveness.

j/k Sorry about the DDoS attack trouble. I haven't been in much. So haven't experienced it any.
But hey....getting attacked means we are getting noticed right? So that could be a good sign for Steemit. Assuming no real damage is done.

Yeah I've read speculation that the DDoS attack was to bring the price down. Funny as when I bought the 1 BTC worth, I included in the memo field two URLs to two Steemit articles on the price looking good. Now it's down 10% from where I bought in; this attack happened just after I bought in.
So, there may be some "manipulation" going on here. Just as Uber attacked Lyft, not only via hacks but also via calling drivers to places that passengers weren't at -- I termed this "distributed denial of drivers" yesterday. :)

Yep, the "beta" designation is still appropriate. I am hoping this attack will force the developers to make THIS part of the project their focus for a while. I do not claim to really "get it" at all, but I gather they are really much more into the blockchain / crypto aspect, which is all well and good but THIS - the social media side - is what will put them on the map. They need to get THIS diamond in the rough polished up.
