I don't think we need to take action by upvoting more posts, but by upvoting good curators ... so, they get more steem and then they can do the individual upvoting
I agree with that strategy.
I wasn't necessarily meaning with regard to upvoting that "lost" content, but just finding it in the first place. When/if steemit really takes off the stream of content will be coming so fast it will be prohibitively difficult to really "explore" all the content, particularly the content that sinks down into the great abyss.
yes, I find it hard as well, and when I do dig deeper, I find plenty of posts that should have been easier to find
